KEYMACRO is an educational cross-platform robot and object identification robot developed by EToys. It uses the TFT screen and Wi-Fi system to deliver the learning experience with a robot-based environment.
RUR is a GUI (Graphical User Interface) program for the robot, to let it communicate with other devices through the network.
RUR runs on Mac, Linux, and Windows.
It supports Python3.4
Features:
1. Robot Interactive Learning Environment (RILEN)
The robot can be used to teach and learn about programming in Python.
The robot uses its sensors to play games, to recognize objects, and to get information. When it gets a set of instructions, it executes the code. When it gets a success/failure/error, it will tell you to do it again.
2. Program Generation (PGEN)
It is designed to give children the ability to generate python codes by writing programs with RUR.
3. Simple Source Code Editor (SMESC)
It allows children to create their own source codes by writing programs with RUR.
4. Robot Game (RG)
The robot is designed to play with children in a 'pong' style.
It has two sensors: IR sensor (Infrared) and JOYSTICK sensor (Buttons). The IR sensor can recognize and distinguish objects such as people and animals, while the JOYSTICK sensor can detect the 'right' and 'left' direction.
The robot can move, turn, tilt, fly and jump.
