IWC Collaborates with George Russell to Create Limited-Edition Pilot's Watches, Paying Tribute to the Spirit of Formula 1 IWC Schaffhausen has partnered with George Russell, driver for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team, to design two limited-edition Pilot's watches: the three-hand date automatic IW328107 and the chronograph IW389411. Both watches feature George Russell's signature blue as their primary color, and each is limited to 1,063 pieces, echoing the driver's racing number "63".

Since his debut on the circuit in 2019, George Russell has continued to compete in Formula One, and later joined the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team in 2022. This highly acclaimed racing driver has collaborated with the IWC creative team to design two limited-edition pilot's watches, incorporating his personal creative vision into the brand. This marks his first time participating in the creation of a limited-edition collaborative timepiece.

Both watches feature black dials and black zirconium oxide ceramic cases. The automatic version has a 41mm diameter, while the chronograph version has a 41.9mm diameter. The crowns and pushers are crafted from IWC's Ceratanium® titanium, a lightweight, durable, and scratch-resistant material.

Blue has held significant meaning throughout George Russell's career. Initially, he wore a black helmet for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1™ team, but the helmet design quickly reverted to a predominantly blue color, which later became a signature of his racing image. Therefore, this unique blue is the core element of these two special editions—from dial details to the rubber straps, all showcasing George Russell's iconic blue.

Both watches feature dials in a striking black, mirroring the case, accented with George Russell's signature blue hour markers and numerals. The black hands are also coated with the same Super-LumiNova® luminescent material. This vibrant blue extends to the rubber strap, which is equipped with the EasyX-CHANGE® system.

The automatic watch model IW328107 is powered by the brand's in-house 32112 automatic movement, featuring a bidirectional pawl winding system and a 120-hour power reserve. The chronograph model IW389411 is powered by the brand's in-house 69380 automatic movement, offering a 46-hour power reserve.

Both new models feature a screw-down crown with a soft iron inner case to protect against magnetic fields. The sapphire crystal is also securely fitted and can withstand sudden drops in air pressure. Turning the watch over, you can also see that the titanium case back of both watches is engraved with George Russell's racing number "63", which he has used since winning the karting championship as a child and all the way to Formula One.
